The town of Winfield was incorporated in 1993 and is located in Northwest Indiana. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of 7,181 and is consistently ranked among the fastest growing communities in the State of Indiana. Some quickly growing subdivisions in the community are Falling Waters, Doubletree East, Stonegate, Latitude and Wyndance.  New upcoming subdivisions are Grand Ridge, Aylesworth, Clover Grove and Estates of Winbrook.
